Harimohan Government High School only provides high school level education. In the Bangaladeshi education system, this institution provides education from class six to Secondary School Certificate examination (SSC) under three groups: science, arts and commerce.

Previously it was known as Harimohan Institution. This school has produced many high achieving students. Before partition of India this school had equal numbers of Hindu and Muslim students and there was total harmony among students. High achieving former students: 1. Professor Ajit kumar Ghosh MA with Gold Medal from Calcutta University. He became Principal of Howrah Girls College near Kolkata India. He died at the age of 59 on 27 December 1983. 2. Dr Ranajit Kumar Ghosh became a Doctor from famous NRS Medical College of Kolkata. He practised medicine at Malda Town in India and was very popular. He died on 10 June 1998. 3. Professor Santosh Kumar Ghosh stood first in Matriculation Examination in whole of Rajshahi District and got District Scholarship. He went to India and studied Architecture in famous Bengal Engineering College at Shibpur near Kolkata. After graduating he went to USA to study for Master's Degree. He obtained M Arch and came back to Kolkata and eventually became Chief Architect of Calcutta(now Kolkata)and was responsible for new development in Kolkata. 4. Dr Jayanti Kumar Ghosh stood first in Matriculation Examination in whole of Rajshahi District and obtained District Scholarship.He went to Calcutta(Kolkata) and became a Doctor graduating from famous NRS Medical college Kolkata. He went to England UK and settled in England. He worked in UK NHS (National Health Service). He was Chairman of South Northumberland British Medical Association and Chairman of Blyth Community Hospital Medical Staff Committee, Northumberland UK. He is a Fellow of the prestigious Royal Society of Medicine, London, besides several other qualifications and achievements.

Above 4 former students of Harimohan High School are sons of famous Lawyer and Politician of Malda District Ramesh Chandra Ghosh.
